Kristin Marsh scored the game's lone goal to lift Saint Vincent to a 1-0 victory on the road over Marietta College in Ohio.

Katie Ryan, making her debut on the team, tallied the assist on Marsh's goal in the 48th minute.

For the game, Marietta outshot SVC by a 15-12 margin, and also held a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.  Marsh led the way with 5 shots, 3 on goal for the Bearcats. Corinne Burk went the distance in the net, posting 7 saves for her 7th career shutout.  It was the first win for SVC in a season opening game since 2013.

SVC returns to action on September 7, hosting La Roche College at 6PM at UPMC Field on the Saint Vincent campus.
