OWINGS MILLS, Md. (Sept. 16) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer team allowed four first half goals in a 5-0 road loss to Stevenson University in non-conference action.
The host Mustangs got on the board early with goals in the 6th and 13th minutes respectively to build a 2-0 lead. Stevenson tacked on a score in the 17th minute before adding another in the 34th to push the halftime edge to 4-0 over SVC.
The Mustangs concluded the scoring with its lone goal of the second half in the 75th minute.
Stevenson out-shot SVC by a 31-5 margin in the match. The Mustangs also added nine corner kicks to just four for SVC.
Junior goalkeeper
Nick Bohn made eight saves and surrendered four goals in the first half. Freshman goalkeeper
Paul Haga played the second half in net, making three saves while allowing one goal.
The loss drops SVC to 0-7 overall while Stevenson evens its record at 3-3.
Saint Vincent travels to Penn State Altoona on Thursday, Sept. 20. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
