The Saint Vincent men's soccer traveled to Presidents' Athletic Conference opponent, Geneva College. The Bearcats fell to the Golden Tornadoes in overtime, 1-0.
The first half saw both teams possessing the ball an equal amount but neither team was successful as the game went to halftime scoreless. Geneva outshot Saint Vincent 6-2 with both teams making two saves.
The second was similar to the first with both teams having chances but none coming to fruition as regulation ended with no score. The Golden Tornadoes still held the shot advantage (12-5) while the Bearcats made five saves compared to three.
As overtime began, Geneva took advantage and rattled off shots. On the fourth one, the Golden Tornadoes ended the game as Michael Pohlod scored in the 96th minute to give his team the victory.
Zachary Gibbons started in net for the Bearcats, playing all 96 minutes, making seven saves.
Saint Vincent is now 2-10-2, 1-2-1 in conference as it will host Waynesburg University on Wed. Oct, 23. Start time is 4 p.m.
