FULL RESULTS
In their third conference meet of the season, Saint Vincent triumphed over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents. The men's team accumulated 143 points to the Presidents' 88. The women's team also scored 143 points to Presidents' 63. Both teams bring their conference records to 2-1.
The men opened up the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay, with the team of
Kevin Martin,
Zach Baum,
Ethan Yant, and
John Martin finishing at 1:43.06.
Yant returned to the top in 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:54.16. Not far behind was
Andrew Rectenwald, who finished in second place at 1:54.95. Later on, J. Martin also achieved a second victory for the evening, this time coming in the 100 Backstroke. His time was a 59.31.
In the 50 Backstroke,
Benon Brewer was victorious with a time of 29.92. He also won the 100 Freestyle, clocking in at 51.07.
Danny Whirlow was also victorious as he won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:15.99.
The women's first victory also came in the 200 Medley Relay. The quartet of
Katie Kozy,
Carly Grove,
Julia Mikita, and
Elise Debrot clocked in at 2:07.58.
Kozy also finished first in the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle. Her times were a 2:06.22 and a 56.89, respectively.
Marion D'Aurora similarly attained multiple victories, winning the 50 Freestyle (26.36) and the 100 Backstroke (1:05.80).
In the 100 Butterfly, Lauren Kercota claimed victory at 1:02.96.
Lauren Connors was victorious in the 500 Freestyle. Her time was a 5:32.96.
The men's swimming team is now 2-4 with the conference record of 2-1 while the women are 3-3 and also 2-1 in the PAC. The Bearcats return to the Resnik Pool on Friday, January 17 against Chatham University. Start time is 5 p.m.
