Hot start pushes Saint Vincent past La Roche, 25-3

Ben Price and Jeremy Kennedy led the Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team past La Roche College. The Bearcats defeated the Redhawks 25-3.
 
A minute and 13 seconds into the game Price scored the first goal of the game. Nate Salera scored just 57 seconds later to give Saint Vincent a 2-0 lead.
 
Frank Casile followed by Price scored to double the Bearcats lead before the half way point of the first period, 4-0. Tyler Condrasky scored his seventh of the season with 5:50 remaining in the first. 
 
La Roche got on the board just 27 seconds later to bring the game back to a four-goal deficit, 5-1. 
 
Kennedy scored the next three for Saint Vincent at 3:46, 1:49 and with 54 seconds remaining in the first. Jon Succop netted his first goal of the game in a man-up situation with 34 seconds left and gave the Bearcats the 9-1 lead after the first.
 
In the second, it was all Saint Vincent with Zach Novelli scoring the first goal of the period. Stone Haberstroh followed with an unassisted goal just 54 seconds later. With Saint Vincent leading 12-1, Alec Richard scored at the 11:09 left in the first half.
 
The Bearcats recorded their second man-up goal thanks to Danny Tare with the helper from Novelli. Haberstroh and Tare scored once more in the period, respectively, and gave Saint Vincent the 15-1 lead at the break.
 
In the third, the Bearcats added six goals to extend their lead to 21-1. In the final period, Saint Vincent scored four more while La Roche added two to give the final score of 25-3.
 
Kennedy and Price each finished with four goals. Jakob Lefchik scored twice while helping on two goals. Richard finished the one goal but added three assists.
 
Noah Sperling started in the net for Saint Vincent and picked up his first collegiate win making 10 saves on 13 shots faced.
 
Now 2-5, Saint Vincent travels to Fredericksburg, Virginia to face the University of Mary Washington on Saturday, March 23. Start time is 12:00 p.m.
