The Saint Vincent men's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over crosstown rivals Pitt-Greensburg.
The Bearcats opened up doubles with an 8-0 win at first doubles by Jon Oskin and Ryan Hartz. Zach Fox and Mauricio Sanchez followed up with an 8-0 win of their own at second doubles. Alex DeLuca and Josh Boland wrapped up a doubles sweep for Saint Vincent with an 8-3 decision at third doubles.
Hartz put the Bearcats up 4-0 with a straight sets 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles. Alex DeLuca clinched the match, also with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, at fifth singles. Also winning in singles for Saint Vincent was Oskin, Fox, and Boland at first, third, and sixth singles, respectively.
The win extends the Bearcats' winning streak to 4 matches and sets their record at 4-1. Saint Vincent will be back in action Tuesday, March 26 when they travel to Geneva for a Presidents' Athletic Conference match against the Golden Tornadoes.
