The Saint Vincent lacrosse team traveled to Fayetteville, North Carolina and lost a non-conference game to Methodist University by a score of 12-7.
After the hosts got on the board just over five minutes into play,
Ben Price answered for SVC, tying the game at 1-1 at the 7:49 mark of the first. Â However, Methodist added two more first period goals, and ran the lead to 4-1 just over 30 seconds into the second quarter.
Price, off a pass from

Danny Tare scored, assisted by
Alec Richard, to make it 5-3.
However, the next five goals of the game, stretching to the midway point of the third quarter, went to Methodist as they opened a 7-goal lead, 10-3.
SVC's
Jon Succop then took control of the game, scoring three consecutive goals within two and a half minutes to make it a 10-6 game, but it was as close as the Bearcats would get. Â
Succop's three goals led the offense, while Price added two. Â Tare and
Jeremy Kennedy had one goal each. Â
Zach Novelli, Richard, Condrasky and
Matthew Prock each had an assist.
The Bearcats are now 0-4 on the season, and will return to action on Saturday, March 9 with a matchup in Maryland with Hood College.
