The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team traveled to Bethany College for a Presidents' Athletic Conference showdown. The Bearcats scored early and often in their first victory of the season, 19-4.

Courtney Kloos opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the game.
Joey Smith followed with her first goal of the game a minute-plus later.
Naomi Schwaiger got on the score sheet as netted one at the 27:34 mark and gave Saint Vincent the 3-0 lead.

Kloos scored her second of game a little over two minutes after her first goal. Schwaiger added another goal as the Bearcats led 5-0. Smith score her second of the game with 22:31 left in the first half.
Julianne Rosa capped off seven-straight goals for Saint Vincent with an assist from Kloos.

Bethany got on the board 13 minutes into the game but the Bearcats still led 7-1.

Saint Vincent scored seven more goals going into half including first colligate goals from Claire Carter and
Lucy Volna. At the break, SVC led 14-1.

In the second half, Bethany scored first but it was followed by
Corinne Burk's first goal of the season and of her Bearcat career. Smith completed the hat trick after Burk with 22:49 to go in regulation.

Trailing 16-2, the Bison scored its third goal of the game at the midway point of the second half.

Burk scored her second goal of the game with an assist from Smith. Bethany added another goal but gave up two more as SVC won by the 15-goal differential.

Schwaiger led the team with three goals and assists. Kloos added five points (three goals, two assists) while Smith contributed five points as well (four goals, one assist).

Maria Franey started in net for the Bearcats, making seven saves on the 11 shots she faced. Trinity Dixon was the starting goalkeeper for the Bison.

Saint Vincent is now 1-6 and 1-2 in the PAC and will host Waynesburg on Saturday, April 13 for Senior Day. Start time is 1:00 p.m.
