The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team hosted the Grove City Wolverines in a Presidents' Athletic Conference showdown. Only trailing two goals going to the fourth, the Bearcats fell 15-7.

Ben Price scored the first goal of the game at the 13:25 mark. Grove City followed it with a goal and tied the game at one. The Bearcats regained the lead as Jon Succop scored off a Joe Puvel assist.

The Wolverines then scored back-to-back goals to take a 3-2 lead with two minutes left in the first. With 51 seconds remaining, Price scored his second of the game and tied it up at three going to the second period.

In the second period, it was all Grove City. GCC scored six total goals while Saint Vincent's lone goal came off the stick of Zach Novelli. At intermission, the Wolverines held on to a 9-4 lead.

In the third, it was the opposite as the Bearcats scored all the goals. The first came just 1:16 into the period as Frank Casile scored his 12th of the season. Just 55 seconds later, Ryan Filyo netted one for his eighth on the year. Jeremy Kennedy concluded the scoring with a man-up goal to bring the game to 9-7 as it went into the final period of regulation.

Unfortunately, it was all Grove City as the Wolverines scored the final six goals and claimed the win by the eight-goal margin.

Price led the team with two goals while Succop scored once and picked up an assist. Brandon Martin started in net for the Bearcats while R.J. Miller started for GCC.

Before the game, the team honored its nine seniors in Eric Seader, Zach Wisniewski, Puvel, Michael Sterling, Filyo, Ross Labuskes, Keith Findle, Kennedy, and Luke Falvo.

Saint Vincent is now 5-7, 3-1 in the PAC as the team will host Franciscan University on Wednesday, April 17. Start time is 4:00 p.m.
