Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Bearcats rout Franciscan


The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team scored early and often in its game against Franciscan University. The Bearcats won the conference contest, 22-3.
 
Tyler Condrasky scored the first Saint Vincent goal with an assist from Frank Casile. Just 34 seconds later, Ben Price scored to make the game 2-0. 
 
Zach Novelli found the back of the net off a Condrasky pass at the 11:02 mark. Later in the first, Kennedy scored two consecutive goals with assists to Danny Tare and Luke Falvo. 
 
Trailing 5-0, the Barons got on the board with 4:12 remaining in the opening period. Jon Succop picked the Bearcats right where they left off with his goal of the contest.
 
Kennedy found the goal once more to complete the hat trick before Succop scored the final tally of the first. Saint Vincent held the 8-1 lead going to the second period.
 
In the second, it was all SVC. Kennedy started the scoring with a man-up goal just 11 seconds in. Stone Hoberstroh netted his first of the game to give the Bearcats double-digit goals (10). Tare then scored his first of the contest followed by Jakob Lefchik to conclude the scoring in the second and the half. Saint Vincent led 12-1 at halftime.
 
The third and fourth periods it was very similar to the first two. Saint Vincent outscored Franciscan 10-2 and won by the 19-goal margin.
 
Kennedy finished the game with five goals and one assist and is 10 points shy of tying the all-time Saint Vincent record. Brandon Martin started in net and picked up the win. Noah Sperling, Kevin Tregoing and Caleb Bouch each played one period in goal as well.
 
Grant McKeown was the starting goalkeeper for Franciscan.
 
Saint Vincent improves to 6-7, 4-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference as the team will host its final regular season home game on Thursday, April 25 against Thiel College. Start time is 4 p.m.
