The Saint Vincent men's soccer team hosted Rosemont College in a non-conference game. The Bearcats fell, 2-1.

The first half was dominated by the Bearcats. SVC totaled 11 shots with four on goal. Saint Vincent opened the scoring off a penalty kick when junior
Brandon Lowe placed his shot in the lower right side of the net in the 45th minute.

The second half was a more even battle between both teams. With the score still 1-0, an SVC defender was given a red card which allowed a penalty kick for the Ravens. Senior goalkeeper, Grant Gonzalez, came out of his net to take the kick and scored, to tie the game at one in the 74th minute.

In the game's final 10 minutes, Rosemont's Jacob Klumpp netted one from 10 yards out, and the Ravens went on to win by the 2-1 final.

Saint Vincent outshot Rosemont 15-7 overall, 7-5 in shots on goal.
Zachary Gibbons played the first half in net, making two saves.
Matthew Balas played the second half in goal and made one save in the loss.

Saint Vincent drops to 0-6 on the season and will host Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Start time is 4 p.m.
