SVC battles McDaniel


The Saint Vincent College men's soccer team faced McDaniel College in a non-conference game. The Bearcats fell on the road, 8-0.
 
The Green Terror scored the first goal of the match in the seventh minute as Nick Starr netted a pass from Khaled Abuhantash. McDaniel doubled its lead in the 38th minute when Liam Ireland scored. McDaniel led 2-0 at the half as the hosts outshot Saint Vincent 9-0.
 
In the second half, the Green Terror added six more goals and won by the 8-0 final. Zachary Gibbons started in net for the Bearcats and made four saves in 65 minutes of play.
 
Saint Vincent falls to 1-8 on the year and will travel to New Concord, Ohio to face Muskingum University on Saturday, Sept. 28. Start time is 5 p.m.
