The Saint Vincent women's soccer team lost to Muskingum University by a score of 3-0 in a non-conference matchup at UPMC Field.

The visitors got on the board 11 minutes into the game, as Natalie Woodward scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal.  Late in the first half, Kaitlin Dawson sent a cross into the box where it was headed into the net by Abigail Wagner.  The 2-0 lead held through the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Fighting Muskies added an insurance goal, as Alyssa Schneider blasted a free kick from 35 yards out right into the upper corner of the net.

For the day, Muskingum outshot the Bearcats, 20-4.  Abigail Johnson started in the net for SVC, making 7 saves in the first half.  Cande Kossel played the second half in goal, making five saves.

SVC is now 0-8 on the season, while Muskingum improve to 5-4.  The Bearcats will return to action on Thursday, October 3, hosting Chatham University in the first Presidents' Athletic Conference match of the season.  It will be Senior Day for Saint Vincent.
