The Saint Vincent women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Mount Aloysius College, 5-1.

The Bearcats struck first when
Lauren May scored her first colligate goal in the fifth minute. The Mounties tied the game at one when Kourtney Walls headed home a goal in the 31st minute. The score remained tied at the half but Mount Aloysius outshot SVC 8-3 with both teams registering two corner kicks.

In the second half, the Mounties scored early and often. First, it was Johnna Adams that netted a goal from 10 yards out. Nine minutes later, Katie Figinski tapped on in from three yards out before Walls scored her second of the match at the 75-minute mark.

Mount Aloysius' final goal came off the foot of Brianna Byler in the 83rd minute. The Mounties outshot the Bearcats by the final of 25-4.

Abigail Johnson started in net, playing over 77 minutes and making eight saves in the loss.

Saint Vincent, now 0-3, will travel to Pittsburgh to face La Roche University on Friday, September 6. Start time is 3 p.m.
