The Saint Vincent women's soccer team traveled to La Roche University for a non-conference matchup with the Redhawks. The Redhawks defeated the Bearcats by a final of 1-0.
In the first half, La Roche dominated the play with totaling 12 shots with two on goal. Bearcat keeper,
Abigail Johnson, made both saves and preserved the scoreless tie until halftime. Saint Vincent rattled off a shot along with two corners.
In the second half, the Redhawks dominated play once again but were able to score in the 89th minute and win the game 1-0. Johnson finished the game with four saves in the loss while the Bearcats were outshot 19-3.
Saint Vincent, now 0-4, will have almost two weeks off until Thursday, Sept. 19, when the team travels to Pitt-Bradford. Start time is 4 p.m.
