The Saint Vincent College women's basketball team had seven players with five or more points as the team cruised to a 86-48 win over Presidents' Athletic Conference foe, Thiel College.

The Bearcats opened the contest by scoring the first seven points as Madison Kollar netted five of them. By the 7:01 mark, SVC extended its lead to double-digits (11-1) and held the advantage throughout the first. Saint Vincent 17-7 as the game headed to the second period.

In the second, SVC controlled the lead but the Tomcats were able to cut the Bearcats lead to eight on two occasions. Kollar made a layup with 4:51 remaining in the half to give Saint Vincent  10-point lead. By the final horn of the first half, Saint Vincent increased the lead to 16 as it led 36-20 at the break.

The Bearcats started to put the game away as they had their lead grow to 30 points. Saint Vincent outscored Thiel 31-17, tying its season-high for points in a quarter. In fourth, the Bearcats closed out the game as they won by 38 points.

Kollar finished with a game-high 20 points while corralling six rebounds. Jenna Lafko finished with 10 points on the evening while Kayla Slovenec and Paige Montrose added nine points. Saint Vincent finished with 52 points in the paint, outscoring Thiel by 30 in the paint. 

Saint Vincent improve to 7-5 overall while being 3-0 in the PAC. The Bearcats travel to New Wilmington, Pa. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 for PAC contest against Westminster College. Start time is 6 p.m.
