WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Saint Vincent women's tennis rolled to an 8-1 conference win over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets.

Maura Skelley and Angela Popovich opened up play with an 8-3 win in the top spot. Shortly thereafter, Lauren Hartner and Trinity Miller secured an 8-6 win in the third flight. The Bearcats secure a doubles sweep with an 8-7(2) win by Lydia Lieb and Abigail Donnelly in the two hole.

Donnelly was a winner again in singles, 6-1, 6-0, at sixth singles to push SVC closer to the win. Hartner followed her off the court with a straight sets win to clinch the match, also by a score of 6-1, 6-0. With the match in hand the Bearcats also secured straight sets wins at first, second, and fourth singles to close out the action. 

Saint Vincent gets back into the win column and now has a record of 3-5 (2-3 PAC). The Bearcats will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 7, for a home match against PAC foe Grove City. First serve is expected at 4:30 p.m. on the SVC courts.
