GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Saint Vincent women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over Thiel to wrap up Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
The Bearcats opened up the match with a 2-0 lead due to forfeits at third doubles and sixth singles from Thiel.
In the remaining doubles play, Saint Vincent used matching 8-1 wins by Maura Skelley and Angela Popovich at first doubles and Lydia Lieb and Abigail Donnelly at second doubles.
Senior Lauren Hartner clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles. SVC also saw straight sets wins by Skelley, Popovich, Trinity Miller, and Lieb at first, second, third and fourth singles respectively.
The win gives Saint Vincent a record of 4-6 (3-4 PAC) on the year. The Bearcats will wrap up their regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when they host Mt. Aloysius. First serve is set for 4 p.m. at the SVC Courts.
