NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 23) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 on the road by Presidents' Athletic Conference leader Westminster College.
The host Titans improved to 14-1-1 on the season and remained undefeated in PAC play at 8-0, while the Bearcats' third straight defeat drops their record to 5-10 overall, and 2-6 in conference play.
Westminster took control early, with Julia Redilla scoring the game's first goal in the eighth minute. The Titan offense continued to press the Bearcats, adding a goal by Brooke Horvath in the 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission. Westminster out-shot SVC 19-2 over the first half, with Bearcat keeper 
Kendall Castor making eight first half saves.
The Bearcats were unable to cut into the lead, managing just three shots over the second half, with Westminster adding a final insurance marker with 11 minutes left in regulation.
Castor finished the afternoon with a career-high 14 saves on the afternoon, while 
Jessica Persin recorded a team-high two shots for SVC. 
The Bearcats will now close out the 2021 season on Wednesday, Oct. 27, traveling to PAC foe Grove CIty for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
