The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team welcomed the Bethany Bison to UPMC Field for a non-conference battle. The Bearcats used a strong offensive game paln to defeat the Bison, 20-6.
Bethany (1-4) opened the scoring for the game at the 13:27 mark in the first. However, Saint Vincent (3-1) never looked back as the team went on a scoring tear.
Jordan Billet scored the first goal of the game for SVC and later added another in the period.
Jacob Visalli found the net twice and
Frank Casile tallied a goal to give the Bearcats a 5-1 lead after the first.
The second period started the same as the first with Bethany opening the scoring. Two goals from Visalli with one from
Caleb Hawkins in-between gave Saint Vincent a 8-2 edge with 8:09 left in the first half.
 The Bison scored two more times in the period but the Bearcats answered with four goals to take a 12-4 lead going into halftime.
The third and fourth periods were much of the same with Saint Vincent outscoring Bethany 5-1 and 3-1, respectively, to take the game by the final of 20-6.
Billet led the team with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) while Visalli scored a game-high six goals. 11 different Bearcats tallied a point in the win.Â
Saint Vincent travels to Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday, March 20. Start time is 4 p.m.
