The Saint Vincent softball team faced Geneva in a non-conference doubleheader matchup at home. The Bearcats fell in both games, 5-4 and 11-4.

Game 1 - Geneva 5, Saint Vincent 4

SVC held Geneva to a one hit inning to start the first.

The Bearcats added a single by
Shae Robson to start the bottom of the inning.
Mallory Halleck singled up the middle at bat, scoring Robson. Tobin doubled down the left field line, giving Saint Vincent the 2-0 edge heading into the top of the second.

Both the Golden Tornadoes and Saint Vincent were unsuccessful getting a runner on base or a hit in the second inning.

Geneva remained silent in the third inning.

SVC tallied one hit in the third inning as Robson singled to left field. The Bearcats hold onto the lead 2-0 going into the fourth.

The Golden Tornadoes added two runs in the fourth inning. Heading into the fifth inning, Geneva and SVC remained tied at two apiece.

Geneva was up to bat and walked to start the fifth inning. The Golden Tornadoes tied the contest at three apiece with a single from Danielle Goodman up the middle.

Saint Vincent went down in order to end the fifth. The score remained at three all.

The Bearcats bounce back with a homerun from
Abbey Ginter to take the 4-3 edge over the Golden Tornadoes.

Geneva added two runs to secure the 5-4 victory over the Bearcats, both off a single to center field from Nicole West.

Robson went 2-4 and scored one run for the Bearcats. Ginter, Halleck and
Alexandra Dillner each ran in one run for Saint Vincent.

Game 2 - Geneva 11, Saint Vincent 4

Unlike game one, Geneva and SVC remained scoreless at the end of the first inning.

The Golden Tornadoes added one run after Haley Smith fouled out of left field, advancing West to score.

The Bearcats remained silent in the second inning.

The Golden Tornadoes held a 1-0 lead after three innings of play.

Geneva added two to their score in the fourth with a double down the left field line from Peri Ceasri.

Saint Vincent tallied one hit as
Kaylee Ludwick singled to center field but SVC could not add another in the inning. The Bearcats trailed the Golden Tornadoes by three heading to the fourth.

In the fifth, Geneva homered in the third at-bat of the inning, adding two runs and two RBI.

SVC trailed 5-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth. To start the inning, Dillner singled up the middle. Robson doubled down the left field line, bringing in two runs for the Bearcats. Saint Vincent diminished Geneva's lead to two (5-3).

Both Geneva and Saint Vincent went scoreless in the sixth inning.

The Golden Tornadoes added six runs in the seventh inning leading SVC 11-3.

Saint Vincent tried to fight back by adding two runs but the Geneva lead was too large and the Bearcats ultimately fell 11-4.
