The Saint Vincent College men's soccer team traveled to Waynesburg University for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup. The Bearcats gave up a late goal as they fell 2-1.

Waynesburg (2-3-1, 2-3-1) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard with a goal at the 2:31 mark.  Saint Vincent (3-4, 3-3) had chances in the first half but none came to fruition as it trailed 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, Cory Northrup found the back of the net off a pass from Roberto Fulweiler to even the score at one.

Both teams tried to add to their totals but failed until 16 seconds left in regulation. The Yellow Jackets scored off a header by Samuel Hawkins to claim the match, 2-1.

Zachary Gibbons made five saves in the loss playing the entire second half. Shane Piper started in goal as he made three saves in his 45 minutes of action.

Saint Vincent returns to campus on Tuesday, April 13 to face Westminster College. Start time is 3 p.m.
