Barons best Bearcats in PAC opener

LATROBE, PA - The Saint Vincent women's tennis team dropped its Presidents' Athletic Conference opener against Franciscan, 8-1.

The Barons were too much for the Bearcats to handle in doubles and that trend continued in to singles. The line point for Saint Vincent came from Angela Popovich, as she slugged her way to a 6-0, 7-5 victory at second singles.

The loss drops the Bearcats to 1-2 (0-1 PAC) on the year. They'll have a quick turn around for their next match, facing off against Westminster at home on Saturday, September 18, at 11 a.m.
