WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Jan. 29) - The Saint Vincent women's swim team traveled to non-conference Lycoming College to earn a victory in their final dual meet of the season, blowing past the Warriors 162-84.
To kick off the action,
Abby Leskovansky,
Lauren Connors,
Callysta Fontanazza and
Katie Kozy joined forces to take first in the 200 medley relay, touching at 1:58.69.
In her last dual meet, senior
Lauren Krecota led the Bearcats to their first individual victory of the meet, taking the 1000 freestyle with a season best time of 11:52.60. Krecota went on to take third in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:51.91.
Connors took home two more wins, taking the 200 freestyle (2:01.54) and posting a season-best in the 100 butterfly with a 1:01.20.
Freshman
Callysta Fontanazza also took first in two events, winning both the 200 butterfly (2:35.68) and the 200 IM (2:29.09), while posting season-best times in both.
Erica Steele claimed the 50 freestyle and the 200 backstroke for the Bearcats, posting a 25.41 and a season best 2:24.45 respectively.
In the final event of the night,
Cara Luallen,
Kelsey Sanborn,
Elise Debrot and
Lily Holsey were first to the wall for the Bearcats in the 200 freestyle relay, finishing at 1:52.72.
The Bearcats, ending their dual meet season 7-4, are back in action February 10-12 at the PAC Championship meet.
