After a five-week layoff, the Saint Vincent women's bowling team returned to action with a 3-0 sweep over La Roche University on the road in Pittsburgh.
The Bearcats opened the day with their best game of the afternoon, winning 882-714. Senior
Mercedes Belch led the way with a 204 game, while
Jessica Guesman finished with a 188, and
Jackie Koehler added a 175. In game two, the Bearcats earned an 838-754 win over the Redhawks. Guesman's 185 was the top score, while Koehler finished with a 172.
The third game was won by Saint Vincent, 809-717.
Olivia Emmonds (173),
Sabine Strickland (172), and Guesman (171) had the top three scores.
Saint VIncent is now 31-8 on the season, and is the #1 seed in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship, which will begin this Friday at Sims Lanes in Beaver Falls. SVC has a first-round bye, and will face the winner of the first round match between Penn State Behrend and La Roche, at 2:30PM.
