WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Mar. 27) - The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team was defeated 19-7 in a non-conference matchup at Lycoming College.
Lycoming (4-4) got off to a hot start, scoring two unanswered goals in the first few minutes of the contest beforeÂ
Joey Smith scored the first goal for the Bearcats (4-5) with 10:02 left in the first quarter. The Warriors would then add to their lead throughout the second quarter, eventually taking a 14-3 lead at the half.Â
Saint Vincent would score one goal in the third quarter and three goals in the third quarter from
Bridget Doyle (two) andÂ
Rachel Thatcher (two).
Maggie Edwards corralled four ground balls to lead the Bearcats, while
Kaylee Bandow posted a team-high five draw controls.
Saint Vincent will be back in action on Saturday, April 2, with a 1 p.m. Presidents' Athletic Conference bout at Franciscan University.Â
