LATROBE, Pa. (April 2) – The Saint Vincent women's golf team opened its spring season in fine fashion, topping a four-team field at the 2022 Saint Vincent Women's Spring Invite at historic Latrobe Country Club.
The Bearcats shot a team total of 434 to finish 10 strokes ahead of second-place Seton Hill University. Franciscan came in third with a team score of 539, while Waynesburg carded a 578 to place fourth.
Individually, SVC was led by the duo of Allyson Frank and
Caroline Konieczny, who each shot 98 to tie for second place. All four Bearcat golfers placed in the top-10 of the 16-player event, with
Sophia Dobransky placing eighth with a round of 118, and
Tori Shilts ninth with a score of 120.
Seton Hill's Lauren Barber won individual medalist honors after shooting a round of 86.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Monday, April 4, traveling north to take part in the Geneva College Invitational at Connoquenessing Country Club in Elwood City.
