NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Sept. 2) – The Saint Vincent men's and women's cross country teams got the 2022 season off on a strong note at the  Fisher Invitational 5K, hosted by Westminster College.

In the first race of the evening, freshman Kristen Prince placed second overall in her collegiate debut to lead the Bearcat women to a second-place finish in the team standings, before junior Tim Patterson breezed to a first-place finish in the men's race, helping his team to a third-place finish.

Prince opened her career with a time of 18:31.78 to earn runner-up honors in a field made up of both Division I and Division III competitors and was one of four Bearcat freshmen to place in the top 20 of the 60-runner field.
