BETHANY, W.Va. (Sept. 30) – The Saint Vincent College women's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 on the road by defending Presidents' Athletic Conference champion Bethany College.
The Bison took the three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23.
Kaelyn Staples led the SVC offense with seven kills, while
Lauren Fox and
Luciana Polk each added five.
Defensively,
Stacie Ramos paced SVC with 17 kills, and added a team-best two service aces.
Nicolena Yanosick was a second Bearcat to record double-digit digs with 12, while both Polk and Staples picked up nine digs apiece.
Staples, Fox,
Alexis DiFuccia and
Madie Eagler each recorded one block, and Eagler dished out 17 assists.
Up next, the Bearcats will continue their road swing and open up Presidents' Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, Oct. 4, with a 7 p.m. match at Geneva College.
