GLASSBORO, N.J. (Oct. 14) – Saint Vincent College senior
Tim Patterson finished as runner-up to lead Saint Vincent to a 12th-place finish in a strong field at the rainy Rowan University Interregional Border Battle.
Patterson continued his stellar senior campaign, covering the soggy 8-kilometer course in 24:56, and was one of six SVC runners to place in the top half of the 278-runner field.
Following Patterson, the Bearcats' second-through-fifth runners were separated by just 29 seconds.

Aiden Jackson was SVC's number-two man, placing 59th in 26:08, two seconds ahead of classmate
Ethan Wymer, who placed 64th.

John Syms recorded a time of 26:33 to place 102nd, while sophomore
Brady Sundin rounded out the Bearcats' scoring five with a 109th-place time of 26:37.

As a team, Saint Vincent recorded 320 points to place 12th in a 31-team field that featured 17 teams that appear in the most recent US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, in which SVC is ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The Bearcats will now have two weeks to prep for the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship, which will be hosted by Thiel College on Saturday, Oct. 28.
