ALTOONA, Pa. (Oct. 28)- The Saint Vincent women's swim team won their second meet in a row, defeating Penn State-Altoona 151-102 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats picked up their first win of the night in the opening event, the 200-yard medley relay.
Abby Leskovansky,
Lily Holsey,
Emma Martz, and
Sarah Alexander teamed up to win the event in a time of 1:59.35.

Martz went on to win two individual events for the Bearcats, winning the 100-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle, while also securing a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. In the butterfly, she swam a winning time of 1:05.41, while swimming a 26.48 in the 50-yard freestyle and 58.80 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Leskovansky and Holsey each picked up another win individually and one second place finish each as well.

Leskovansky won the 100-yard backstroke and placed second in the 200-yard backstroke. In the 100, she swam a time of 1:04.49, two seconds faster than the second-place finisher from Penn State-Altoona. In the 200 she raced a time of 2:22.66, about a half tenth of a second out of first place.

Holsey won the 200-yard butterfly and placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke. In the 200-butterfly event she raced a time of 2:46.61, finishing just ahead of her teammate,
Elyssa Bognar who finished in second place for Saint Vincent.

In the 200-breaststroke she swam a time of 2:47.91, finishing just behind
Valerie Clabaugh who won the event for the Bearcats in a time of 2:46.63. Clabaugh also won the 100-yard breaststroke as well, swimming a time of 1:15.03.

Alexander also added two individual second place finishes as well in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.46) and 500-yard freestyle as well, where she swam a time of 5:46.12 for the Bearcats.

Rachel Hutchinson had a nice night for SVC as well. She picked up and individual win in the 1000-yard freestyle, a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM and was part of the Bearcats winning 400-yard freestyle relay team, teaming up with
Brook McDermott, Leskovansky, and Alexander.

The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, November 4 when they travel to York College for a meet. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
