PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 4)- The Saint Vincent men's soccer team used an offensive surge to defeat Carlow 6-0 on the road at Highmark Stadium in downtown Pittsburgh.

The win ends the Bearcats three-game winless streak as well as their three-game goalless streak.

Saint Vincent relied on six different goal scorers in the road win over the Celtics.
Wilmer Rivera,
Erwin Suarez,
Benjamin Edwards,
Iverson Agyei,
Cameron Mulvanny, and
Kelvin Aguilar-Contreras were the six goal scorers for the Bearcats. Aguilar-Contreras also recorded an assist in the win for the Bearcats.

Giuseppe Loiacono and
Joshua Heller both recorded assists in the win as well.
Eduardo Richa recorded four shots, including three of the Bearcats 14 shots on goal.
Mattia Speretta and
David Rahaman both tallied shots on goal as well.

SVC was strong offensively over the entirety of the game, outshooting the Celtics 28-4, with 14 of those shots being on goal for the Bearcats and just one being on goal for Carlow. The Bearcats also tallied seven corner kicks compared to just one by the Celtics.

After a scoreless first ten minutes, Rivera got the Bearcats on the board on an assist from Aguilar-Contreras to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. About nine minutes later, Suarez doubled the Bearcats lead with his goal to make it 2-0.

The Bearcats scored their third of the half in the 30
th minute when Edwards scored his second of the season with about 13 minutes remaining in the half as SVC led 3-0. Saint Vincent's final goal of the half came with just over two minutes remaining, Agyei scored on an assist from Heller to give the Bearcats a 4-0 lead heading into the half.

13 of SVC's 28 shots came in the opening half, while also holding the Celtics without a shot in the half. SVC recorded three of their seven corner kicks in the first half as well. The Bearcats committed five fouls in the half, compared to three by Carlow.

Saint Vincent came out on the attack in the second half as well. A little over one minute out of the half, the Bearcats found the back of the net again as Mulvanny scored to increase the SVC lead to 5-0. Four minutes later SVC concluded their offensive outburst as Aguilar-Contreras added to his assist earlier in the game with a goal to give Saint Vincent the 6-0 lead and win.

Grant Archuleta and
Chrystiaan Sexton combined for the shutout win in net for Saint Vincent. Archuleta did not face a shot in the opening half, while Sexton faced just one shot, making his lone save in the second half to solidify the shutout for SVC.

The Bearcats will return to PAC play in their next match, traveling to Bethany for a matchup against the Bison on Saturday, October 7. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Bethany.
