GROVE CITY, Pa. (Nov. 11)- The Saint Vincent men's swim team fell to PAC foe Grove City by a final score of 130-101 on Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats had a number of second place finishes on the afternoon.
Liam Randolph tallied three of those second-place finishes for Saint Vincent. Randolph finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM, and concluded his day second in the 200-yard breaststroke. In the 100-breast, he swam a time of 59.61 and followed that up with a time of 2:15.25 in the IM, while concluding his day, racing a time of 2:15.71 in the 200-breast.
Also, in the 100-yard breaststroke,
Jacob Bacasa finished in third place, racing a time of 1:09.82 and
Robert Harrington placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke, racing a time of 2:31.77.
Nickolas Jackman,
Jacob Dzurica, and
Alex Leskovansky picked up a pair of second place finishes each as well.
Jackman finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle to open the meet, swimming a time of 10:32.32 and followed that up with another second-place result in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.34).
Dzurica tallied second-place results in the 100-yard backstroke (53.08) and 200-yard backstroke (2:02.08) events. Also, in the 200-back,
Jacob Halter recorded a third-place finish, racing a time of 2:18.18.
Leskovansky's pair of second-place finishes came in the 50-yard freestyle (22.55) and 100-yard freestyle (50.22).
Soma Burt finished third for Saint Vincent in the 100-freestyle, swimming a time of 54.32.
Colin Spehar recorded SVC's final second-place finish of the afternoon, racing a time of 55.12 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Hayden Klein finished just behind him in third place with a time of 58.05.
The Bearcats return to action late next week when they travel to Malone University for the three-day mid-season meet beginning on Thursday, November 16 and going through Saturday, November 18.
