WASHINGTON, Pa. (Dec. 2)- The Saint Vincent women's swimming team recorded a big 159-89 road conference win at W&J on Saturday afternoon.

Saint Vincent opened the afternoon with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of
Abby Leskovansky,
Lily Holsey,
Emma Martz, and
Sarah Alexander raced a time of 1:59.16 to secure victory in the first event of the afternoon.

Leskovansky had a big afternoon individually, winning the 50-yard freestyle and picking up a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke. In the 50 freestyle, she swam a time of 26.90 finish ahead of Morgan Baughman who finished in second-place for the Presidents, while also swimming a time of 1:04.82 in the 100 backstroke.

Individually, Holsey tallied first, second, and third-place finishes as well. She won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.88), finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:50.21), and third in the 200-yard IM, swimming a time of 2:34.33.

In the 200-yard IM,
Teresa Grimm won the event for the Bearcats, racing a time of 2:27.50. She also recorded a second-place result in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.12), finishing behind Holsey, and a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:52.46.

Martz won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.28 and recorded a pair of second-place results in the 200-yard butterfly event (1:04.68) and the 200-yard butterfly event (2:25.78) for SVC.

Alexander tallied a first-place win in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:10.07 and a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 5:49.22, finishing just behind
Brook McDermott who won the event for the Bearcats in a time of 5.49.22.

The Bearcats will enjoy a nice break as they won't compete again until after Christmas break when they travel to Chatham for a meet against the Cougars. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 19.
