The Saint Vincent women's bowling team opened Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play with a victory over Penn State-Behrend, the team's 22nd consecutive win.
SVC trailed in the early part of the game, but three consecutive strikes by
Jackie Koehler helped to turn the tide.
Olivia Emmonds struck on three of four shots mid-game, to help the Bearcats pull away to an 835-778 victory.
Emmonds finished with a 182, while Koehler added a 180, and
Mercedes Belch shot a 176.
Saint Vincent (23-1) will be back in action throughout the weekend, for the final 9 rounds of the AMCC round-robin. Up first will be a match against Pitt-Bradford on Saturday morning at 10AM.
