GROVE CITY, Pa. (May 6) – The Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse team saw its 2023 season come to an end with a 27-3 loss to top-seeded Grove City College in the championship game of the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.
The Bearcats conclude the 2023 season with a 15-3 overall record, tying a program record for most wins in the season.
It marks Grove City's fourth consecutive PAC title, and the second straight season in which the Wolverines topped the Bearcats in the conference title game.
Jacob Visalli, 
Caleb Hawkins and 
Jordan Billet were the goal-scorers for the Bearcats, while 
Andrew Coholich and 
Matthew Cassidy were each credited with assists.
Brady Beard had a solid evening in the faceoff circle, winning 17 of 28 and snaring a game-high nine ground balls. In his final career game, 
Brody McMahon had a team-high three caused turnovers along with five ground balls, while Cassidy had three ground balls. 
Noah Sperling made six saves in goal for SVC.
The 2023 SVC roster boasted four seniors ranked among the team's all-time leading scorers. Billet's goal was the 106th of his career, the eighth-most in a career for a Bearcats, while he upped his career points total to 176, which ranks seventh in the program record book. Visalli's goal was his 102nd, good for 10th in program history, while Hawkins is now eighth in team history in career points (161), ninth in career assists (63) and 11th in goals (98). Cassidy is a fourth member of the SVC senior class to join the team's 100-point club, wrapping up his career with 50 goals, 63 assists, and 113 points. Sperling closes his stellar career with 318 saves, sixth all-time in team history.
