GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 16)- Six Saint Vincent men's student-athletes were selected to the College Sports Communicators At-Large Academic All District team's.
Tyler Harpst,
Max Radcliffe,
Connor Smith, and
Zander Vetter all earned the award in men's lacrosse, while
Shawn McSwiggen and
Tyler Nelson picked up the honor for the Bearcats in men's volleyball.
To qualify in men's lacrosse, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or
must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. In men's volleyball, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or
must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
Harpst earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors. He caused 16 turnovers for the Bearcats, while scooping up 22 ground balls and dished out an assist during the season.
Radcliffe played in all 17 games with three starts for the Bearcats. He totaled 26 points, scoring 19 goals and dishing out seven assists. Radcliffe also scooped up 19 ground balls and caused three turnovers in route to Saint Vincent's PAC Semifinal appearance.
Smith totaled 47 points during his sophomore season for the Bearcats en route to earning All-PAC Honorable Mention honors. He scored 30 goals and dished out 17 assists, while scooping up 17 ground balls, causing three turnovers, and scored one game winning goal for the Bearcats as well.
Vetter led the Saint Vincent defense during his junior campaign, earning All-PAC Second Team honors earlier this spring. The junior led Saint Vincent with 23 caused turnovers, while he also scooped up 48 ground balls and dished out an assist over the course of the season as well.
McSwiggen earned All-PAC First Team honors, leading the Bearcats offense during his senior season. He ranked second in the PAC in kills/set (3.63). McSwiggen ranked in the top-five in service aces as well, recording 29 in 63 sets for SVC. McSwiggen recorded double digit kills in 15 different matches for SVC, while recording a season-high 21 kills on March 18 against Grove City.
Nelson was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team for the Bearcats. He recorded 127 kills, 27 assists, and 10 service aces over the course of the season for the Bearcats.
