LATROBE, Pa. (Apr. 18) – The Saint Vincent College men's lacrosse team delivered one of its most dominant performances of the season Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 26-4 Presidents' Athletic Conference victory over Hiram College at UPMC Field.
With the win, the Bearcats improved to 9-6 overall and 7-2 in PAC play, while Hiram fell to 6-10 overall and 2-6 in the conference. Saint Vincent seized control from the opening whistle, erupting for 12 first-quarter goals before adding eight more in the second to carry a commanding 20-3 lead into halftime.
The Bearcats wasted no time getting started, as
Cam Herring opened the scoring just 35 seconds into the contest.
Neal Ritchie,
Connor Smith,
Reed Hunt,
Jonathan Nagy, and
Owen Rogers all followed during the explosive opening stretch as Saint Vincent scored six times in the first four minutes. The Bearcats continued to pour it on throughout the quarter, with Nagy and Smith each scoring multiple times during the period.
Saint Vincent remained aggressive in the second quarter, netting eight more goals to extend the margin.

Calvin Rose, Nagy, Hunt, and Smith all found the back of the cage during the frame as the Bearcats put the game out of reach before intermission.
After halftime, Saint Vincent added three goals in the third quarter and three more in the fourth to close out the 26-4 final. The Bearcats had eight different goal scorers in the win and continued to showcase their offensive depth throughout the afternoon.
Nagy led the offensive charge with a game-high seven goals, including the 100
th of his Saint Vincent career, while Smith and Blevins each added five. Rose finished with three goals, Hunt and Ritchie each scored twice, while Rogers and Herring also tallied goals.
Smith also played distributor, finishing with multiple assists, while Rogers, Ritchie, and Nagy helped pace the attack with assists of their own as Saint Vincent moved the ball effectively all afternoon.
Defensively, the Bearcats limited Hiram to just four total goals and controlled possession throughout the contest. Saint Vincent's depth was on display on both ends, as multiple goalkeepers and reserves contributed in the decisive victory.
Prior to the game, the Bearcats honored their eight seniors.

Saint Vincent concludes the regular season and will now await to see what seed and who their opponent will be in next week's PAC playoffs. The Bearcats will play next Saturday, April 25 at a time to be determined.
