LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 23) – The Saint Vincent men's cross country team placed 14th in a loaded field of 35 squads, representing all three NCAA classifications, at the Lock Haven Invitational.
Tim Patterson led the way for the Bearcats, placing 48th in the 265-runner field with a time of 25:24.8 in the 8-kilometer race.

Ethan Wymer was SVC's second finisher, posting a time of 25:59.6 to place 84th, just ahead of classmate
Aiden Jackson, who covered the course in 26:07.7 to place 91st.

John Syms was the Bearcats' fourth man, finishing in 26:22.8 to take 109th, while sophomore
Brady Sundin closed out the team's scoring five with a time of 26:29.9 to place 115th.

Joey Jafarace finished just outside of the scoring contingent, turning in a time of 26:45.8, while senior
John Hurley rounded out the SVC top-seven with a time of 27:35.9.
Division-II Charleston University won the team title, placing three runners in the top five to total 60 points, led by individual champ George Couttie, who won in a time of 23:40.1.
Among the field's 13 Division-II squads, the Bearcats placed fifth with 415 points, top amongst the three Presidents' Athletic Conference teams that competed.
Saint Vincent will be back in action next weekend, taking part in a pair of events, with runners competing at both the Thiel Tomcat Rumble on Friday, Sept. 29, and the Lehigh Paul Short Run a day later.
