NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 18) – The Saint Vincent women's soccer team saw its 11-game unbeaten streak come to an end with a 2-1 loss at Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Westminster College.
After Saint Vincent (12-2-1, 6-1 PAC) took a 1-0 lead late in the first half, Westminster (7-5-1, 6-0-1 PAC) scored two unanswered goals in the second frame, capped off with Gabby Hunter's goal off of a corner kick with 2:08 remaining in regulation.
Westminster held the advantage in possession over the game's first 30 minutes, outshooting SVC 4-0 over the span while taking four corner kicks. Bearcat keeper

The Bearcats' first scoring chance came with just under 10 minutes left, when
Addie Fisher's shot from 15 yards out went just wide.
With 2:30 to go,
Emma Koller emerged from traffic to spring free into the box, but was pulled down before she was able to get a shot off at point blank range, and a penalty kick was awarded to the Bearcats.
Tanisha Grewal converted on the attempt, blasting it inside the left post to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead with 2:17 left in the half. It was Grewal's 10th goal of the season.
The Titans gained the momentum coming out of the intermission, outshooting the Bearcats 8-1 over the first 15 minutes of the second half. Goalkeeper
Rilyn Warner preserved the lead for the visitors, making five saves in a 15-minute span, including a breakaway stop in the 48th minute and a spectacular diving stop in the 56th minute.
Westminster eventually tied the game with 22:12 left, when Lydia Ohm converted on a 2-on-1 break deep inside the SVC defensive end to even the game at 1-apiece.
After their game-tying goal, the Titans continued to press offensively, taking five of the next seven shots and four corner kicks over the next 18 minutes. The SVC defense continued to hold off Westminster until the game's 88th minute, when Hunter scored the go-ahead dagger directly off of a Natalie Vilchek corner kick.
Westminster ended the evening with a 16-6 advantage in shots, including a 12-4 margin in the second half, while taking each of the game's nine corner kicks.
Warner went the distance in goal and recorded six saves.
Now sitting in the third-place spot in the PAC standings, the Bearcats will look to bounce back from the loss when they host Grove City on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. at UPMC Field. At 5-0-1 in PAC play, the Wolverines enter the weekend virtually tied atop the PAC standings with Westminster.
