Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer continues to roll with 3-0 win at Neumann

ASTON, Pa. (Oct. 5) – The Saint Vincent women's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to eight games with a 3-0 non-conference victory over Neumann University.

Three different players scored second half goals for the Bearcats (9-1-1), who are now off to their best start to a season in program history.

In a scoreless first half, the Bearcats outshot the Knights by a 10-4 margin, but were unable to pot a go-ahead goal before the break.

After halftime, the Bearcats wasted little time to take the lead, scoring two goals in an 8-minute span.

Jude Galvin got the action started with an unassisted tally in the 48th minute, her third of the season, before Emma Koller netted her seventh of the season in the 56th minute to double-up the SVC lead.

Lexi Durkacs would close out the game's scoring with just under 13 minutes left, assisted by Kyra Smith.

Saint Vincent outshot Neumann 18-9 for the game, as Durkacs led her squad with five attempts. The Bearcats also had five of the game's six corner kicks.

Rilyn Warner started in net and went the distance for the Bearcats, stopping all four shots she faced to earn her fifth shutout of the season.

The Bearcats will be back on the road when they return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8, traveling to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Geneva for a 7 p.m. bout.
