MEADVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 16)- The Saint Vincent men's swimming team picked up their first win of the season in a 144-79 win at Allegheny on Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats (1-4) opened the afternoon with a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of
Christopher Shilaos,
Robert Harrington,
Liam Randolph, and
Soma Burt swam to a time of 1:47.55 for the Bearcats.
Jacob Dzurica led the Bearcats individually with three wins. Dzurica first won the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.48), then he followed that up with wins in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.83) and the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 21.44 for the Bearcats.
Randolph had a solid day for Saint Vincent as well. Randolph secured two individual win as well as a second place finish as well. He won the 1000-yard freestyle (11:19.48) and the 200-yard IM (2:16.93), while he finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 52.68.Â
Robert Harrington and
Alex Leskovansky both picked up one individual one and one second place result as well. Harrington first finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.08), before winning the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:30.92. Leskovansky on the other hand finished second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:25.77), before winning the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 57.40 seconds to win it for SVC.
Giovanni Guido finished second in two different individual events. Guido secured second place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (59.25) and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:26.33.
Aidan Gilson and
Anton Seifert also picked up second place results. Gilson finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 3:27.73. Seifert on the other hand picked up his second place result in the 200-yard IM, finishing just behind his teammate Randolph, swimming a time of 2:26.05 for the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, November November 21, competing in the opening day of the three-day Malone University Invitational.
