LATROBE, Pa. (Nov. 8)- The Saint Vincent women's swimming team was defeated by Grove City on Friday night by a score of 161-160.
It was a good start to open the night for the Bearcats as Saint Vincent 200-medley relay team won the first event of the night.

Deanna Miller,
Emma Martz, and
Abby Leskovansky teamed up for SVC to win the relay with a time of 1:54.57.
The Bearcats continued their relay team success later in the night when the Saint Vincent 400-yard freestyle relay team won as well. This time, Martz,
Sarah Alexander, Zembiec, and Leskovansky won the event in a time of 3:48.89 for SVC.
Individually,
Rachel Hutchinson won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:05.57, while Leskovansky added to her relay wins with wins in the 50-yard freestyle (24.56) and 100-yard freestyle (54.79)
Miller also swam to a second place finish in the 400-yard IM in a time of 5:07.39. Alexander also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 5:46.50.
On top of being apart of the winning relay teams, Zembiec placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.96) and 200-yard backstroke (2:19.36), while Martz placed second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:25.80). Martz also picked up a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, swimming a time of 1:03.84.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, November 16, when they travel to Meadville for a matchup against Allegheny. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Meadville on Saturday.
