LATROBE, Pa. (Apr. 13)- The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team was defeated by Allegheny, 19-1 in a PAC game at UPMC Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats (2-8, 1-4 PAC) were limited to just one goal by the Gators (5-6, 4-1 PAC) defense. Allegheny led 13-1 at the half and outscored Saint Vincent 6-0 in the second half as well.

Bailey Nicely scored the lone goal of the game for Saint Vincent on an assist from
Madison Weber in the first quarter.

Allegheny led in shots by a large, 46-13 margin over the Bearcats. Saint Vincent goalie,
Kyra Lipetzky made 15 saves over her three quarters of play.
Cassidy Rega came in for the fourth quarter, allowing just two goals.

Allegheny recorded 29 ground balls, compared to 15 by the Bearcats. The Bearcats were 15-25 on clears, while the Gators were 18-20 on clear attempts.

SVC had 24 turnovers, while also forcing 18 Allegheny turnovers as well.

Gabby Salandro recorded two ground balls to add to the SVC total, while Weber led the way with three caused turnovers, adding to her assist.

Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, April 18, hosting Bethany in the first ever home women's lacrosse night game at UPMC Field. Opening face off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday.
