GREENVILLE, Pa. (April 20) – The Saint Vincent College women's lacrosse team traveled north to face Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup at Alumni Stadium.
The Tomcats (8-5, 4-3 PAC) jumped out to a big first quarter lead en route to a 21-1 victory over the Bearcats (2-10, 1-6 PAC).
Gabby Salandro scored the Bearcats' tally with an unassisted strike in the opening moments of the fourth quarter.
The Tomcats outshot the Bearcats 41-7 on the afternoon, including a 33-6 margin in shots-on-goal.
Kyra Lipetzky started in goal and made 10 saves in the first 30 minutes of play, before giving way to
Cassidy Rega, who registered two saves.
Salandro and
Kloe Templeton shared the SVC team lead with three ground balls apiece, while Salandro also topped the Bearcats with four caused turnovers.
The Bearcats will be back on the road when they next return to action on Tuesday, April 23, with a 6 p.m. match at PAC foe Washington & Jefferson.
