WASHINGTON, Pa. (Apr. 23)- The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team was defeated by W&J 19-3 on Tuesday night.
 
The Bearcats trailed 14-2 at the half and were outscored 5-1 in the second half.
 
Gabby Salandro, Carolina Walters, and Bethany Smith were the three goal scorers for SVC. Cassidy Rega made six saves in net for the Bearcats.
 
The Presidents outshot Saint Vincent 28-5 and was 25-4 on shots on goal as well. The Bearcats committed 26 turnovers compared to 17 by the Presidents.
 
W&J was 11-17 on clears and the Bearcats were 7-15 on clears. Ground balls were 27-11 in favor of the Presidents as well.
 
SVC won six draw controls and the Presidents won 17.
 
Saint Vincent will conclude their season this Friday, April 26 with a home matchup against Chatham. Opening face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
