NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Sept. 14)- The Saint Vincent women's golf team finished seventh out of nine teams at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday.
Lucy Brayton was the Bearcats top finisher at the invitational, placing tied for 10
th with a round of 87, shooting a 45 on the front and 42 on the back nine. Brayton recorded six pars on her round.
Kharisma Zylka fired a 106 with one par on her card for Saint Vincent to finish in 37th.
Elizabeth DeLo was the Bearcats next finisher, shooting a 107 to place 38
th in the tournament. DeLo ended her round with a 55 on the front nine and 50 on the back for SVC.
Lauren Turkovich finished just behind DeLo with a 116. Zylka and Turkovich both finished with a par each on their card.
Charlotte Jordan was the Bearcats final finisher on the afternoon, shooting a 120 with a 59 on the front and 61 on the back nine.
As a team, Saint Vincent shot a total of +132 to finish ahead of Geneva and Hiram.
Westminster won their home tournament with a total of 333 (+49). Madison Sharek of Geneva and Mya Mrkonja of the host Titans tied for the tournament win with rounds of 80.
The Bearcats will return to action on Monday, September 23 when they host the Saint Vincent College Invitational at historic Latrobe Country Club. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
