STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 24)- The Saint Vincent men's soccer team fell to Franciscan by a 6-0 score in the Bearcats PAC opener on Tuesday night.
Franciscan (5-1-2, 1-0 PAC) scored two goals in the first half and followed with four more against the Bearcats (1-4-4, 0-1 PAC) in the Saint Vincent loss.
The Bearcats were out shot 19-6 in the loss, including 13-2 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were the closest margin in the stats as the Bearcats recorded two, while Franciscan had three on the night.
Saint Vincent had seven fouls, while Franciscan had four fouls in the PAC opener for both teams.
Javier Torres and
Coeurich Pierre recorded the lone shots on goal for the Bearcats.
Kameron Rock took the loss in net making four saves, while allowing five goals.
Grant Archuleta also played some time in net, making two saves, while allowing a goal as well.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, September 27 when they travel to Thiel for another PAC matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Greenville.
