TEAM RESULTS
The Saint Vincent women's bowling team completed its weekend sweep, winning the Western PA Baker Shootout at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg, defeating eight other teams.
The Bearcats finished the day with an average of 177, with nearly 5000 pins covered in 28 games. The University of Rio Grande finished second, averaging 164.5, a total of 349 pins behind SVC on a very difficult lane condition.
Shawnee State University held a five-pin lead over the Bearcats after the first of seven blocks, each consisting of four Baker team games, averaging just over 190 to the Bearcats' 189. From there, the scoring pace slowed dramatically, as the tough lane conditions kept scoring low. Saint Vincent took the lead after the second block and extended its advantage to 121 pins despite throwing only one game over 200 out of the next 12 games.
Saint Vincent led by 98 total pins with just 8 team games remaining, but threw games of 226 and 213 in the next block, before finishing the day with a four-game total of 755 (188.7) to pull away from the competition.

Sabine Strickland averaged 182.5 and
Daphne Stuber finished at 177.6.
Ryanna Collazzo, competing for the Saint Vincent JV team, had a strong day, averaging 173.
