LATROBE, Pa. (Jan. 18)- The Saint Vincent men's swimming team earned a 162.5-69.5 victory over Chatham on senior day Saturday afternoon.
To open the afternoon, Saint Vincent picked up a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of
Anton Seifert,
Sam McCall,
Robert Harrington, and
Alex Leskovansky swam a time of 1:44.67 to win it for the Bearcats.
Giovanni Guido picked up the Bearcats first individual win of the afternoon, winning the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:15.92.
Hayden Klein finished in second place with a time of 11:44.06.
Jacob Dzurica followed with a win in the 200-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 1:49.88 for the Bearcats. Harrington finished in second place in the same event, swimming a time of 1:51.74.
Seifert followed with a win in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 1:00.96, while Leskovansky finished in second place with a time of 1:01.49 for the Bearcats. Randolph picked up another win for Saint Vincent, coming in the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 59.93. McCall finished in second place in the event, swimming a time of 1:06.99.
In the 200-yard butterfly,
James Clark finished in the second place with a time of 2:28.05 for the Bearcats.
Aidan Gilson finished in third, swimming a time of 3:02.89. Klein followed with a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 23.67, while
Soma Burt swam a time of 24.11 to finish in third place.
Guido and McCall finished second and third respectively in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 53.86 and 54.89 for Saint Vincent. Dzurica picked up another win in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.83, while Randolph finished in second place, swimming a time of 2:07.35.
Guido then won the 200-yard breastroke (2:33.85), while Gilson swam a time of 3:22.39 to finish in second place in the event.
Seifert and Clark went 1-2 in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming times of 5:31.03 and 5:48.62 for the Bearcats.
Harrington won the Bearcats their final individual event of the afternoon, swimming a time of 56.29 to win the 100-yard butterfly for Saint Vincent. Randolph finished in second place (56.60) and Klein finished in third in the event with a time of 58.61.
Leskovansky and Burt went 2-3 in the final individual event of the afternoon coming in the 200-yard IM. Leskovansky swam a time of 2:17.27 and Burt recorded a time of 2:20.42 for the Bearcats.
The team of Leskovansky, McCall, Seifert, and Burt won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:38.95 to win the event for Saint Vincent.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, January 25 with a trip to Westminster. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in New Wilmington.
